The Right Way to help the Right Whale

  • Berninneit - Co working space (upstairs) 91-97 Thompson Avenue Cowes VIC 3922 Australia (map)

Presentation

Published author and wildlife photographer Chris Farrell will show how you can help document the endangered South East Australia Southern Right whale through the camera lens and even your phone.

The presentation will show how anyone can become a Citizen Scientist to help researchers, like Kasey Stamation, track the endangered Southern Right Whales along the South East Coast of Australia by submitting observations to the South Eastern Australian Southern Right Whale Photo-ID Catalogue (https://www.SWIFFT.net.au/WhaleFace/ )

The presentation will also include some spectacular imagery of Southern Right Whales, including rarely-seen aerial images taken from a light plane at 500 metres altitude.
