Indo-Pacific Killer Whales

  • Berninneit 91-97 Thompson Avenue Cowes, VIC, 3922 Australia (map)

Talk

Orca populations across the Indo-Pacific vary greatly in where they occur, what they eat, and how often they interact with fisheries. These differences likely reflect both the ecological diversity of the region and uneven research and reporting effort across different areas.

In places where orcas are regularly present but difficult to study, such as south-east Australia, collaboration between researchers, industry, and the community is essential to gather the data needed to better understand this apex predator
