Meagan Tucker

Meagan is a Senior Research Officer at Phillip Island Nature Parks, spending most of her time in the field monitoring Phillip Island’s unique fauna. She first started working with little penguins 10 years ago, studying the thriving population on Melbourne’s St Kilda breakwater, and has been working with them ever since.

Most of Meagan’s work focusses on collecting data on little penguin breeding success, population demographics, diet and foraging to inform management actions. With a passion for wildlife and an interest in island ecosystems Meagan also contributes to the monitoring of Eastern barred bandicoots and beach nesting birds across the island.
