Tree Planting

🌱Want to get your hands dirty and give back to our beautiful island when you visit for Island Whale Festival? Join the dedicated team at Phillip Island Landcare for a tree planting session, plus a tour, followed by lunch at the Phillip Island Recreation Reserve.

This is an opportunity to contribute to increasing biodiversity and restoring the site's natural environment.  You will be part of a 3 year revegetation project (funded by AusNet) led by Landcare at this significant public site on the island with plans to plant 9,000 trees and bring back more diverse wildlife to the area.  

What to bring:

  • appropriate dress for the weather

  • sturdy footwear

  • gloves (some will be available to borrow)

  • water bottle

When: Saturday 12 July - 9:30am (for morning tea) for 10:00am planting, and a tour and a complimentary lunch at 12.30

Where: Phillip Island Rec Reserve, corner of Ventnor and Phillip Island Roads

Parking: Off Ventnor Rd, first gate to the left after the roundabout. There will be signage pointing you in the right direction

Cost: FREE! (includes complimentary morning tea and lunch)
