Experience the Heat: Wood-Fired Sauna Sessions at the Whale Festival!

Get ready to elevate your Whale Festival experience with the ultimate wellness escape.

This year, we are returning to the festival, but in a new location. Imagine stepping out of the crisp ocean air and into the warmth of a traditional, wood-fired sauna. Now, picture doing that while looking out over the pristine waters at the famous Cowes Jetty—where, if timing is on our side, you might just catch a glimpse of majestic whales passing by the coast.

Our exclusive beachfront sauna sessions offer the perfect vantage point to connect with nature, relax your body, and keep an eye on the horizon for our ocean-dwelling friends. It’s a sensory experience like no other: the crackle of the wood fire, the panoramic water views, and the invigorating contrast of the coastal breeze.

Each 70-minute authentic sauna experience is designed to completely reset your system. Y

ou'll have the opportunity to practice contrast therapy by pairing the deep heat of the sauna with a refreshing plunge directly into the natural, salty water of the ocean.

To keep you feeling refreshed throughout your session, we also provide a premium selection of hydration, including crisp infused water, chilled iced teas, and warming hot herbal tea.

To deepen your connection to the sea, your session will be set to the immersive sounds of Whale Music by philosopher-naturalist and musician David Rothenberg.

This unique soundtrack is a groundbreaking piece of acoustic art and interspecies communication. It features live recordings of Rothenberg playing instruments, like the clarinet, directly to whales in their native ocean habitats. What you'll hear is an incredible, ambient call-and-response soundscape, where the whales actually improvise, change their tunes, and sing back—creating a deeply relaxing, otherworldly dialogue between human and whale.

Space is strictly limited, so be sure to secure your session and add a touch of warmth to your festival weekend!
