Whales have been an integral part of oceanic ecosystems for tens of millions of years and today represent the most massive creatures of all time and some of the most intelligent species on the planet. Paleontologist Ruairidh Duncan will tell the tale of how a small, hooved animal in what are today's himalayas gave rise to the most spectacular lineage there is and what weird and wacky forms it's descendants took along the way to becoming the whales we know and love today.
